2012: Indoor: Hyde competed in two meets for the Buffs. She started off at the Potts Invite (1/21), running in the 60 and 60-hurdles. She placed sixth overall in the 60 (8.43) after running 8.28 in the prelims. Hyde was third in the 60-hurldes with a time of 9.13. At the Air Force Team Challenge (1/28), Hyde was 25th in the 400 with a time of 1:01.54.
Outdoor: Redshirt. Did not compete.
HIGH SCHOOL: Hyde owns a pair of school records in the 100 and 300-meter hurdles. She clocked a time of 14.07 in the 100-hurdles and 43.57 in the 300-hurdles. Hyde qualified for the state championship in both hurdle events as a junior. The Jackrabbits won the District 15-4A Championship (2008) and the Great Southwest Classic (2010). She was member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society in high school.

PERSONAL: Kara Ann Hyde was born on August 20, 1993 in Dallas, Texas. She is the daughter of Dennis and Janet Hyde of Forney, Texas and has one brother, T.J.
