Corporate Cup Competition
![]()
Our inaugural health and wellness event, the Colorado Corporate Cup will be an employee favorite by combining friendly competition, team camaraderie, wellness, athletic skills and charitable giving to produce a Corporate Cup champion in each of our four divisions.
FIELDING YOUR TEAM
Each company team will compete within one of four divisions based upon that company’s total number of Front Range-based full-time and part-time employees.
Division 1: 1,000 or more employees
Division 2: 500-999 employees
Division 3: 100-499 employees
Division 4: Up to 99 employees*
All team members must be at least 18 years of age and a full-time or part-time employee of the company, and people may compete for only one company.* Team members may participate in more than one event, but competitions will not be delayed waiting for participants.
Teams are subject to forfeiture of an event and a 25-point deduction from their total score if they enter a person who is not on the official entry form or does not meet the employee eligibility rules. In the event of a participant challenge, both the employee and a company official must be prepared to confirm identification. Since it’s impossible to confirm the eligibility of over 5,000 participants, we are relying on our team captains and the honor system to ensure that everyone is competing fairly!
There are a total of 78 competitive slots for your team. Division 1, 2 and 3 companies are encouraged to fill their slots with as many participants as possible to avoid scheduling conflicts and to encourage participation. Competitions will not be delayed for participants coming from other events.
Division 4 teams will need to be a little more creative. The smaller companies may not have enough employees to compete in each event, so knowing the talents and skills of your team and entering events in which you have the best chance of scoring is important. *Division 4 companies may also join forces with another small company to compete together. Combined, the total number of employees must still be 99 or fewer.
HOW TO WIN
There are 12 events to choose from, and points are awarded for results in each event that will accumulate to produce a cup winner in each of the four company divisions. The six skill events produce points through accuracy, while the five competitive events will pit company teams directly against each other. The 2K Wellness Walk provides the opportunity for any of the company’s less competitive employees to produce points, and for friends and family to join them in the spirit of wellness.

CHARITY CHALLENGE POINTS
Four front range charities will be the beneficiaries of donations accumulated from participating teams, with points being awarded toward the cup. Each charity will rank the participating teams, within their respective divisions, in order of their donated amounts, after which the CU Corporate Cup will award points toward competition. Charity Challenge points will be tallied and available before event day. Information coming soon!
FRANKLIN FIELD TAILGATE ZONE
The Franklin Field Colorado Corporate Cup Tailgate Zone is the centrally-located hub of community and competition on event day. Four of our events take place on Franklin Field, and the perimeter is a tailgating zone for participating teams. Your company can add a spot to put up a tent, tables, massage chairs, ice baths, whatever you think will help your team refuel, relax and rejuvenate while reliving the competition and preparing for the next event. We will also have a parking lot designated for “free” tailgating if upgrading doesn’t fit into your budget this year. Electricity will not be provided at tents and generators are not allowed. Teams may bring in ice chests and coolers with non-alcoholic drinks and refreshments to supplement concessions and the beer garden provided in the athlete village.
TEAM TAILGATE CONTEST
In the spirit of fun and camaraderie, we encourage teams to show off their company pride and decorate their area as they see fit. Teams will be judged by division and first place finishers will be recognized as the winner in the Team Tailgate Contest. Décor, themes and overall spirit will be a part of the contest criteria.
T-SHIRT CONTEST
Don’t forget your uniform! Your team may not have the fastest legs, the most accurate toss or the best shot, but you could still be a winner when you enter the T-shirt Contest. Design a t-shirt for your team to wear at the competition and let the creativity flow. Prizes and a trophy, courtesy of CU Licensing, will be presented to each division winner.
