2019-20 (SOPHOMORE): Clarke started 29 games and played in all 30…She averaged a career-best 9.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game…Clarke led the Buffs with 49 3-pointers…She totaled a career-best 290 points…Clarke led CU in scoring on eight occasions…She scored a career-high of 21 points against Denver…It was one of 15 games she totaled 10 or more points on the season.
2018-19 (FRESHMAN): Clarke appeared in all 30 games for the Buffaloes, earning two starts in her first season. She got her first start at Arizona (2/17), scoring eight points in 28 minutes. She scored a season-high 15 points against Washington (2/24). She hit a key 3-pointer to help closeout CU’s 72-61 win over Washington State (2/22). She scored in double figures five times this season. Finished with 4.6 points and 3.2 rebounds in 15. 9 minutes per game.
HIGH SCHOOL: Clarke is a 2017 graduate of Basketball Australia's Centre of Excellence at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, where she was coached by Kristen Veal. She was a Northern All-Star in the open women’s State Basketball League in 2018. She scored 42 points in a single game at the U-16 Australian Junior Championships, and was the top scorer at the U-18 Australian Junior Championships, averaging 21.9 points and 8.7 rebounds. She holds the high jump record at CSHS of 163 cm (64 inches). Her teams won championships in 2013 and 2016 and she was coached by Deanna Smith. She also attended UC Lake Ginninderra College prior to BACOE.
AAU: She played for Perry Lakes Hawks.
NATIONAL TEAM: Clarke is a member of Australia’s Youth National Team program. She averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists, while shooting 60.7 percent at the U-17 FIBA Oceania Championship and was named to the All-Star 5 at the tournament.
IN THE CLASSROOM: She plans on majoring in neuroscience and psychology. She would like to establish her own clinical practice after graduation.
PERSONAL: Emma Clarke was born on March 18, 2000, in Perth, Western Australia, to Laurel and Michael Bell. She has a younger brother, Jack, who plays basketball, soccer and tennis. In her spare time, Clarke enjoys photography and spending time outdoors. She volunteers at basketball academies with juniors, and earned a state medal in Surf Life Saving. Her goal is to play for the Australian Opals Team, the national team for Australia.
