High School: As a three-year letterwinner in both track and cross-country at Palisade High School in Palisade, Colo., Kerrigan participated in both the 800 and 1600-meter events. As a senior, she earned all-state honors in the 4x400 relay (4:05), and earned academic all-state recognition for her junior and senior years. She is also a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Mackenzie Cinea Kerrigan was born September 18, 1984 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Her parents are Tom and Melanie Kerrigan. She lists hiking, camping, shopping, swimming and climbing as her hobbies. Kerrigan chose Colorado over Concordia University at Irive and York College. Her academic interests include kinesiology, journalism and Spanish with career interests including becoming a television journalist or a sports trainer.
