2002 (Jr.)?He played in all 14 games, including the Alamo Bowl, on special teams, as he was the deep snapper on the punt team.  He played all 69 snaps, plus six more in the bowl, and all came off without a hitch.

2001 (Soph.)?He played in all 13 games, including the Fiesta Bowl, as he assumed the role as snapper during two-a-days when Neal Hannifin was out with an injury.  He retained the long snapping role over the entire season (61 snaps) in addition to 25 plays on the field goal/PAT unit.

2000 (Fr.-RS)?He did not see any action, but did dress for nine games.  He had the chance to get plenty of reps in spring drills, as injuries played havoc with the position.  He caught one pass for 16 yards in the two major spring scrimmages.

1999 (Fr.)?Redshirted; did not see any action, but practiced the entire fall at tight end.

HIGH SCHOOL?As a senior, SuperPrep named him to its All-Farwest Team (the No. 158 player in the region and the No. 15 tight end), and earned second-team all-Southern CIF Section, first-team all-CIF, all-San Andreas League and all-San Bernardino County honors.  He was a first-team all-league performer as a junior.  He started three years at tight end, posting career numbers of 93 receptions, 1,486 yards and 17 touchdowns, and caught 63 passes for 1,003 yards and eight TDs as a senior.  He had 27 catches for 432 yards and seven scores as a junior, and three for 51 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore.  As a senior, he played defensive end for a couple of games, making about 10 tackles, and also punted, averaging 35 yards for around 30 punts.  His top games his senior year included the season opener against Redlands, when he caught 10 passes for 120 yards, and in a playoff loss to Cathedral City, when he had six catches for 120 yards and two touchdowns.  He had four catches for 100 yards and a touchdown against Redlands as a junior.  Yucaipa was 5-6 his senior year, 12-2 his junior season (league champ and CIF finalists) and 7-5 his sophomore campaign under coach Jim Taylor.  He also lettered three times in basketball (power forward; averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds per game as a senior) and lettered twice in baseball (first baseman).

ACADEMICS?He is majoring in economics at Colorado, but is undecided on which sequence.  He owned a 3.7 grade point average in high school and was a three-time Scholar Athlete Award winner.

PERSONAL?Born July 20, 1981 in Fontana, Calif.   He advanced to the next-to-last stage in the national Punt, Pass & Kick competition as a 13- and 14-year-old (he was six yards on a kickoff away from advancing to the finals at the NFC Championship one year).  Hobbies include working on and restoring cars (he recently restored a '59 Chevy pickup), golf, water sports and snowboarding.
