AT COLORADO: This Season (Soph.)?He is projected as an offensive lineman as he joined the team as an invited walk-on for August drills. 

 

AT OREGON STATE (2006/Fr.-RS)?He attended Oregon State as a student, but was not a member of the football program.

 

AT ARMY (2005/Fr.)?He practiced at guard and center at the U.S. Military Academy (Army), but did not see any game action.

 

HIGH SCHOOL?A three-year letterman and starter (guard), he was named second-team All-State and first-team All-Metro as a senior.  Under coach Ken Potter, Jesuit was 12-1 his senior year (Metro League champs) and 9-3 his junior season.  He also lettered four times in rugby, where he was named first-team All-Oregon, first-team All-Northwest and was a member of the U-19 USA Developmental Team.

 

ACADEMICS?He is interested in Business (Finance or Management) as his major at Colorado.  As a senior, he was the recipient of Jesuit’s Football Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Award. 

 

PERSONAL?Born April 6, 1987 in Curitiba, Brazil (his family moved to the United States when he was four months old).  His hobbies include hunting, fishing, snowboarding and playing rugby.  His father, Tom Fruechtel, played college football at the University of Hawai’i.  (Last name is pronounced freck-tell.)
