Blake Barnes joined the Herbst Academic Center staff at the University of Colorado as a Learning Specialist in August 2022.
Barnes comes to Colorado after serving as a Learning Specialist at West Virginia University since January 2020. Prior to that, Barnes was a Learning Specialist Intern at the University of Minnesota in 2019.
Barnes completed his undergraduate degree in Business with a dual emphasis in Business Administration and Finance in 2017 from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs while competing as a student-athlete on the men's soccer team. He went on to earn a master's degree in Leadership in 2019, also from UCCS. While in graduate school, he worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Athletics Department.

Originally from Flower Mound, Texas, Barnes enjoys spending time with family and exploring Colorado with his dog, Jax.
