Before her employment at CU, Bortnowski served as a swim coach for the Front Range Barracudas in Broomfield from 2014-22 and as aquatics director at the Broomfield Swim and Tennis Club from 2016-20.
Bortnowski completed her first undergraduate degree at the University of Denver in 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology. During this time, she also competed as a swimmer for the Pioneers.
Looking to diversify her movement studies, Lauren completed an additional degree in dance at CU Boulder in 2013, which tremendously enriched her life and expanded her worldview. She's now very excited to be back in Boulder and supporting student-athletes in their college journey and beyond.
Bortnowski is originally from New Jersey. When not cheering on the Buffs, she is reading, dancing, biking, or enjoying time with her husband, David, and daughter, Reagan
