FRESHMAN (2014): Bresnahan played in nine games in her debut season. She took two shots, sending both on goal. She took her first collegiate shot in the Buffs’ inaugural game, a 12-4 victory over Stetson.

COACH ELLIOTT ON BRESNAHAN: "A hockey player in the 'off season,' Emily is an extremely tough and solid athlete both physically and mentally. We are excited about Emily's ability to play and work in the midfield. Emily's athleticism combined with her toughness will allow her to be successful at the next level and we are excited to watch her push herself, her teammates and continue to develop here at CU."

HIGH SCHOOL: In four seasons with the St. Paul’s School lacrosse team, Bresnahan scored 92 goals and contributed 80 assists. After a rough season her freshman year, the team turned things around, posting three consecutive winning seasons. Bresnahan was the team’s third leading scorer her senior year, helping her team go undefeated, claim the Independent School League title and earn the No. 1 ranking amongst New England prep schools. In her final season, she was also selected as an All-League honorable mention. Bresnahan was selected to the US Lacrosse National Tournament, Upper New England Region her sophomore and junior seasons. Most recently, Bresnahan played for the Revolution Lacrosse club, but also spent 2007-10 with Synergy Lacrosse. At St. Paul’s, Bresnahan was also a four-year letter-winner in ice and field hockey. On the ice, as a defender she scored five goals and had 14 assists in four seasons. On the pitch, Bresnahan was the team’s leading scorer three of four seasons, scoring 25 goals and contributing 18 assists, while earning first-team All-League honors her senior year.

PERSONAL: Emily Bresnahan was born on September 26, 1994 in Newton, Mass. Her father, Andrew, is a sales executive. Her mother, Tara, is a marketing consultant.
