Bio
2024-25 (Sophomore): Averaged 3.1 points and just over one rebound in 30 games. Hit 61 percent from the field in a limited number of attempts (28 of 46), including 22 of 28 from inside the 3-point arc (.786). Scored a career-best 11 points at Iowa State, hitting 4 of 5 from the field. Made his first career start at Arizona (1/25). Twice achieved a personal best of four rebounds, first against Pacific (12/2) and then three games later against Bellarmine (12/21). Transferred to UC Irvine during the postseason.
2023-24 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in 14 games, giving the Buffaloes spot minutes off the bench. Scored a total of 15 points, shooting 42 percent from the field, with nine rebounds. Made his collegiate debut in the opener against Towson (11/6). Saw the bulk of his minutes in December with the Buffaloes, dealing with some injury issues. Played a career-high 16:33 in the conference opener against Washington (12/29), scoring two points and grabbing a personal-best three rebounds. The Washington game was his first of three straight playing double-figure minutes. Scored four points, hitting 2 of 3 from the line, in 10:12 against Washington State. Originally a walk-on student-athlete, he was awarded a full scholarship in September 2024 during off-season workouts.
2022-23 (Freshman): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the Colorado basketball program.
High School: A 2021 graduate of Sacred Heart Prep. Averaged 20.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.2 blocks and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 53 percent from the field as a senior. Named league and team MVP. Spent the 2021-22 academic year at Northfield Mount Herman, a prep school in Massachusetts. Helped the Hoggers to a second-place finish in the New England Prep School Athletic Council Class AAA Division and was a national prep championship finalist. Scored 40 points and had 18 rebounds in a game at Northfield Mount Herman.
Academics: Majored in Finance at Colorado. Named to the 2025 Winter Academic All-Big 12 Team.
Personal: Born Jan. 30, 2003. He is the son of John and Noha Carrington. His father John is a CU alum. Favorite professional teams are the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos and is favorite athlete is Kla Thompson. Enjoys hanging out with friends and playing golf.
