Top Career Slalom Finish:  21st (2005 Utah Invitational)

Top Career Giant Slalom Finish: 28th (2005 Utah Invitational)

 

2005 ?  Brown opened her collegiate career with what would be a season best 21st place slalom finish at the Utah Invitational, and the next day finished 28th in the giant slalom.  She would finish 29th in the GS at the Alaska Invitational in Jackson Hole before suffering two straight disqualifications. She scored as the Buffs’ third skier, 27th overall, in what would be the last race of her freshman year, the slalom at the Denver Invitational.

High School ? Brown skied for Beniide-St. Margarot’s which won the state championship in 2000, and was an all-state performer as a junior and senior.  In addition to skiing, Brown was a member of St. Margarot’s soccer and lacrosse teams, playing offense defense, respectively.

Academics ? An Academic Honor Roll, National Honor Society member and Athletic Academic Achievement Award recipient her sophomore through senior years, Brown is an architecture major at Colorado and has a 3.540 grade point average following her first semester.

Personal ? Born in Minneapolis on Aug. 25, 1986, Catherine Laura Brown is the youngest of Frederick and Judy Brown’s four children.  She has two older sisters, Allison and Lindsay (a Boston College grad) and an older brother, Ricky, who skied for Colby College.
