In his first season as an assistant coach at Colorado, Halvor Utistog will assist nordic coordinator Bruce Cranmer will all aspect of the cross country skiers.

He comes to Colorado from Oslo, where he was a teacher from 2001-02. From 1999-02 he was a coach and ski waxer in Fossum-Baerum.

In 1997 he skied in the Junior World Championships in Asiago Italy taking third place in the 10k classical race. He also once took 14th in the Norwegian Cup Senior-Cross Country 15k Classic in Lillehammer.

Born Jan. 25, 1976 in Skien, Norway, he a native of Telemark, Norway, the ?cradle? of modern skiing. His hobbies include telemark skiing, hunting and fishing.
