Jed Schuetze is in his third season as assistant alpine coach at his alma mater. He raced to 11 top-10 and 16 top-20 finishes in 21 races and his collegiate career culminated in his repeating his slalom All-American title in ?03 with a sixth place finish in the event in Lyme, N.H.

 

 A transfer from the University of Utah, he was an All-American in the slalom in 2001 with an eighth place finish at the NCAA Championships in Ripton, Vt. as a sophomore. While at Utah, he finished 11th in the slalom at the U.S. Alpine National Skiing Championships.

 

The Academic All-American and former member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) graduated in May with a degree in economics and has been the head ability coach with the Eldora Mountain Ski Team and has been a research assistant for Boston and Wood Private Investigations.

 

 Jed Thomas Schuetze was born Aug. 28, 1979 in Longmont, Colo. In 2003 he represented the United States and the University of Colorado at the Tarvisio, Italy, World Unversity Games. In 2003 he also received the Buddy Werner Memorial Scholarship Award, awarded to the Male Alpine Skier of the year.
