This Season ? “We are looking for him to make the most improvement this season after adjusting to college life.  His training has been more focused this semester, and the results have been shown through his fall time trial results.  We look for him to be a top 10 collegiate skier as well.”

2006 ? CU’s coaching staff was hoping to get a season of training for Reid his freshman year, and he did not disappoint.  Reid started 10 races for Colorado, finishing all but the freestyle race at Montana State.  His top finish was 13th in the classical race at the Montana State Invitational.  His best finish in the freestyle discipline was 14th at the RMISA Championships.

High School ? Reid’s high school did not sponsor skiing, but he lettered four times under coach Ernie Lee in cross country, participating all four years in the state meet and twice making the all-section team.

Club ? Reid spent four years skiing for the Auburn Ski Club, with a top finish of fourth place in the 10km Classic in the Junior Olympics.

Academics ? Reid is majoring in computer science at Colorado.

Personal ? Born July 17, 1987, Garrett is the son of Russell and Beth Reid of Palo Alto.  He has a younger brother, Carl (16), and a sister Joanne (13).  He is interested in becoming a network security auditor, and his hobbies are working with computers and does volunteer technical support work.  He chose Colorado for its computer security curriculum.
