2005 ? After what would be a season best 15th place showing in the slalom in her collegiate career opening Utah Invitational, Brusletto suffered a DQ in the second run of the GS two days later. She bounced back to string together three straight races where she would score as the Buffs’ third finisher in the GS (14th) and slalom (21st) at the Alaska Invitational and 20th in the GS at Denver. In two more finishes in ’05 she was a disappointing 40th in the GS at New Mexico before finishing 27th in the discipline at the NCAA West Regional.

Club ? In 2002 she finished third in the GS and fifth in the slalom at the National Junior I Championship. A year later she was third in the Super-G and fifth in the GS at the National Junior II Championships.

Academics? Ranked among the top three students in her class in high school, Brusletto is an open option major at Colorado with a better than 3.0 grade point average, and is interested in studying business.

Personal ? Jannicke Owren Brusletto was born July 6, 1985 in Oslo. Her father is Jan Olav Brusletto and her mother, Bente Brusletto. Her younger sister Anne Cecilie is in her second year of high school and is a member of the Norwegian Junior National Ski Team. Her 13-year-old brother Martin competes on the slopes as well. Her hobbies include playing golf and tennis and she also enjoys windsurfing. She competed in a few tournaments on the links when she was 15 and competed in tennis from 11 to 15-years-old and was among the top-10 players in her age group in Norway. She is tri-lingual as she speaks English, Norwegian and some German. Her mom attended the Parsons School of Design in New York and is an interior designer.
