2007 ? Ronnestrand had a solid first season for Colorado, claiming five top-10 finishes and cracking the top-five on three different occasions in the classical discipline. She earned her career-best second place finish at the RMISA Championship and qualified for the NCAA Championships. Ronnestrand wrapped up her first collegiate season earning first-team All-RMISA honors. Ronnestrand’s best freestyle finish was eighth, a feat that she accomplished twice.

Other ? Ronnestrand skied for the Myssjo Oviken club in Sweden. In 2004 she took second in the Swedish Junior National Championship in the 5k freestyle. Also in 2004 she took 11th in the World Junior Championship 15k classical race, and 16th in the 5k freestyle.

In the Classroom ? Ronnestrand is a psychology major at Colorado.

Personal ? Karin Kristin Ronnestrand was born Feb. 28, 1984 in Karlstad. She is the daughter of Lars and Eva Ronnestrand of Stromsund. She has two brothers, Erik (20) and Anders (18) and a sister, Marie (21).
