Career at Colorado—In his three seasons as a Buff, he was a two-time RMISA MVP and three-time All-American … Raced 37 collegiate races, finishing 27 of them in the top 10 and 17 on the podium (nine in the giant slalom, eight in the slalom) and had six victories (three in both the slalom and giant slalom).
2018 (Senior)—He swept the RMISA awards palette, winning the RMISA Male Alpine Athlete of the Year, RMISA MVP in the point standings and its Men’s Alpine Most Valuable Skier awards … In 14 race starts, he finished 13 of them and was fifth or better 10 times … Won three races on the year, two in the slalom and one in the giant slalom … He swept the alpine races at the MSU Invite to open the season and for his performance he earned RMISA Skier of the Week honors … At the 2018 NCAA Championships he opened that up with a third place finish in the giant slalom to be named a first-team All-American for the first time in his career … Finished seventh in the slalom at the national championships to earn second-team All-America honors … Honored as the Collegiate Skier of the Year by the Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame … Was also named CU’s Co-Male Athlete of the Year at the end-of-the-year CUSPY Awards and received the ski teams Buddy Werner Memorial Award.
2017 (Junior)—He collected first-team All-RMISA honors for a second consecutive season. He finished eight races on the season, missing three (two at the Utah Invitational and one in the slalom qualifier due to a shoulder injury) and did not finish three others on the year. At the RMSIA Championships, he earned Skier of the Week honors after he finished second in the slalom and sixth in the GS. He opened the season by winning the giant slalom in the RMISA Alpine Qualifier. A day later he placed second in the GS in the Montana State Invitational. In the 2017 NCAA Championships he came in 14th in the slalom, but did not finish his first run in the giant slalom. He placed second in the giant slalom at a FIS Race held on Dec. 1, 2016 at Copper Mountain before the start of the NCAA season.
2016 (Sophomore)–Made an impact right away as a freshman on one of the more experienced alpine teams in the nation that was returning five upperclassmen. He was named the RMISA Most Valuable Skier for alpine, a first-team All-RMISA selection and he was a second-team All-American selection in the giant slalom after finishing 10th in the discipline at his first NCAA Championships. He finished 11 races on the season and posted an impressive seven top five finishes in addition to one GS run victory and two slalom run wins. In his first-ever meet he won the GS and took second in the slalom at the Utah Invitational. For his impressive start, he went on to collect CU Athlete-of-the-Week honors. Later in the year he took first place in the slalom at the New Mexico Invitational, giving him a first place finish in both disciplines during his first season with the Buffs. He was named the RMISA Skier-of-the-Week after the Montana State Invitational when he placed second in the GS and sixth in the slalom.
Club—Johansen skied for Norwegian National Team for two seasons from 2013-15. He also skied for the Doenski alpine program during high school. He has been racing FIS races since 2008, finishing 187 of 254 races prior to the start of her collegiate career with 87 top 10, 56 top five, 31 podium appearances and nine race victories. He won his first FIS race in giant slalom in Geilo in Norway, 2011. During the 2015 season, he started once in World Cup, finishing on 57th place in Super-G, in Val Gardena, Italy. He has 39 European Cup starts with 19 finishes. In 2010 season he finished 10th in Europa Cup giant slalom in Vemdalen, Sweden, in 2014 season he finished 11th in Europa Cup giant slalom in Les Menuires, France, and in the 2015 season he finished 12th in Europa Cup giant slalom in Levi, Finland. He participated in FIS World Ski Championships in 2012, 2013 and 2014, in Italy, Canada and Slovakia. He finished 8 of 12 races with 6 top 20 and 4 top 10 results. He has 20 Norwegian National Championship races to his credit. In 2012 he finished twice in eighth place, once in downhill and once in super combined. In 2013 he finished 11th in downhill, 4th in super combined and 7th in slalom. In 2014 he finished 10th in downhill and 5th in super-G.
High School—Johansen graduated from Doenski alpine high school Norway, in June 2012.

Personal—Ola Buer Johansen was born August 3, 1993, in Baerum, Norway. Hi is also interested in business, he enjoys eating sushi and his favorite movie is “The Godfather”.
