2004? Bisic was Colorado’s top men’s downhill skier with top-20 finishes in six races entering the NCAA West Regional where he finished 26th in the giant slalom and 25th in the slalom.  His top finish in the GS was ninth at New Mexico and 10th in the slalom at the Nevada Invitational.  In his first NCAA Championships, he returned to the same Nevada mountain and finished 20th in the GS in 1:55.22, including a 56.88 second run, the 17th best of the day to improve six places and matched his slalom finish from the first meet of the season two days later with not-so-ideal starting positions.  He was the recipient of the team’s Buddy Werner Memorial Award, as the outstanding men’s alpine skier.

2003?After a pair of disqualifications at the season opening Montana State Invitational, Bisic rebounded with a career best ninth place giant slalom finish and a 13th place slalom effort at the Alaska-Utah Invitational.  He would turn in three more top-10 finishes, finishing ninth in the GS in CU’s own Invitational, a career best seventh place GS finish at the Western State Invitational and ninth in the slalom at the NCAA West Regional, his best postseason finish.

2002? Bisic opened his collegiate career with a 20th-place finish in the giant slalom and a 20th-place effort at the season-opening Montana State Invitational.  He improved to 15th and 12th, respectively, a week later at the Nevada Invitational.  He took a break from classes in February to compete in the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City for Bosnia-Herzegovina.  As one of just two athletes that formed the Bosnian delegation, Bisic carried the Bosnian national flag during the opening ceremonies.  He went on to finish 30th overall in the slalom in Salt Lake with a first and second run combined time of 1:57.72.  He spent most of the summer in Europe, visiting family in Bosnia and Croatia before training in Sarajevo and at the Bormio (Italy) Glacier with the Bosnian National Team.

High School?Bisic was a three-year letterwinner in soccer at Ranum.  He earned second-team all-conference accolades his senior year at the midfield position.

Other? From 1995-98 Bisic was a member of the Winter Park Ski Team, where he was a three-time gold medal winner and 10-time medallist at the Junior Olympics and U.S. Junior Nationals over a three-year span.  From 1998-2000 he skied for Team Go, finishing 33rd in the slalom at the world championships.  Since 1998 he has been a member of the Bosnian National Team where his top finishes include a 17th place downhill effort, 16th in the Super-G and ninth combined as a member of a World Junior Championship team.  In March 2000 he finished fifth in the slalom at the Nor-Am Cup Slalom in Collingwood, Canada.  At the World Junior Championships in Verbier, Switzerland, he finished ninth in the combined and 16th in the SG last February.  That same month he competed in the St. Anton (Austria) World Championships in the slalom.

Academics?Enrolled in Colorado’s College of Engineering and Applied Science, Bisic is an aerospace major, and will carry a 3.547 cumulative grade point average into his final season.  He is a three-time Division I National All-Academic Ski Team Member following the 2002, ’03 and ?04 seasons.

Personal?Bisic was born April 29, 1981 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and he has dual citizenship in both the United States and Bosnia even though his family is considered political refugees. He is the son of Ramiz and Ina Bisic of Westminster, Colo.  His younger brother Kenan attends Broomfield High School.  Bisic is trilingual, as he attended 13 schools in four different countries (Bosnia, Austria, Italy and the U.S.) before graduating high school.
