2010: Indoor: Eckmann ran the mile twice as a freshman. His fastest mark of the season was at the Husky Classic (2/13) when he crossed the finish in 4:23.57.
Outdoor: Eckmann competed at three meets during the outdoor season. He ran his fastest time in the 1,500 at the Tom Benich Classic (4/3) in 4:07.72. Eckmann also raced in one 3k, running a time of 9:12.20 at the CU Invite (4/10).
CROSS COUNTRY: Eckmann ran unattached at the Rocky Mountain Shootout and placed 63rd overall.
HIGH SCHOOL: Eckmann was named the most inspirational track athlete as a senior. He was a member of the All-BCL first team for cross country and was named the most valuable runner and most outstanding runner as a senior. Eckmann placed third at the NCS cross country championship and was on the SPS’s first team to qualify for the state meet.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Eckmann is an open major but is interested in engineering. He owns a GPA greater than 3.0.
PERSONAL: Adam Eckmann was born on August 31, 1990. He is the son of Lee, who played soccer at Washington, and Janet Eckmann of Seattle, Wash., and has one sister, Emily. Eckmann lists his hobbies as singing and being outside and has volunteered at nursing homes.
