2010: Indoor: Gomez ran a personal record in the 200-meter dash (22.63) at the Iowa State Classic. But his main focus was the 600-yard run. He raced to a PR of 1:12.32 in the prelims at the Big 12 Championship although he did not advance to the finals. Gomez was also a member of the mile and 4x400-meter relay teams. The 4x400 team ran the 10th best time in CU history at the Big 12 Championships, clocking a mark of 3:15.23 for 10th place.
Outdoor: During the outdoor campaign Gomez once again focused on the 400-meter hurdles. His fastest time of the season was 54.33 which he ran at the CU Invite (4/10). He placed sixth overall.
2009: Indoor: Gomez concentrated on the 400 and the 600 during the indoor season. He recorded a personal best of 48.87 in the 400 at the Air Force Invite (2/13) to place fifth overall. Gomez set a then-PR of 1:13.25 in the 600 at the Big 12 Indoor Championship and took 17th overall in the prelims. He earned his first letter at the meet as a part of the distance medley relay that finished eighth (9:56.44).
Outdoor: Gomez focused on the 400 hurdles during the outdoor season and just missed out qualifying for regionals after clocking a time of 52.69 and taking first at the Front Range Classic (qualifying time is 52.51). He ran the event at the conference outdoor championship and placed 15th (53.39) with his second-best time of the year. Gomez was a member of the 4x400-meter relay and helped it to a season-best time of 3:15.20 at the CU Invite.
2008: Indoor: Gomez ran in four meets for the Buffs, racing in the 200, 400 and 800-meter runs and the 600-yard dash as well as a part of two relays. He ran the 600 at the Big 12 Championship and placed 15th overall with a season-best of 1:13.41. He was also part of the 4x400 relay which competed at the meet and took 11th.
Outdoor: During the outdoor season Gomez concentrated on the 400. He earned his first collegiate crown in the 800 at the Potts Invite with a time of 1:56.63. His best time in the 400 was at the conference championship. He ran a mark of 48.53 and took 18th in the prelims. He ran the third leg of the 4x400 relay which placed sixth. The time of 3:09.27 ranks eighth in school history.
HIGH SCHOOL: Gomez lettered in track all four years for the Rebels. He was named the overall most valuable player his senior season as he scored the most points for WCHS. Gomez competed in four events as a senior at the state championship.
HIGH SCHOOL BESTS: 100-meters: 11.3; 200-meters: 22.8; 400-meters: 51.00; 800-meters: 1:57.
ACADEMICS: Gomez is majoring in Spanish at Colorado. He was a member of the National Honor Society in high school.
PERSONAL: Adrian Gomez was born on June 10, 1988 in Boulder, Colo. He is the son of Rafael and Rosalinda Rosas Gomez. He has one older brother, Joshua. Gomez has a twin brother, Adam, and younger twin brothers Adolfo and Rafael. Gomez is bilingual.
