High School: Ikwuakor holds school record in the 110-meter hurdles (14.2) and 300-hurdles (37.8) and was second-team all conference the last three years of his high school career. Ikwuakor also participated in wrestling and football at Pomona High School.
Personal: Born on Aug, 13, 1984, Akobundu is one of a set of triplets who will represent Colorado in track this season. Sister Obiamlam and brother Chinemerem are each on the Buffs' roster. Parents Killian and Patricia Ikwuakor currently live in Arvada, Colo. Akobundu is undecided on his major at Colorado, but chose the Buffs over Montana State, Missouri Valley and UNC.
