2002 Track & Field: Manatt finished fifth in the indoor 800 meter run at the Air Force Invitational and went on capture first place in the finals (2:22.45). Her best time of the year (2:16.17) in the event came at Big 12 Championships where she finished sixth. She ran a time of 2:17.91 at the Husker Invitational to finish 11th.
High School: Manatt earned four letters and was a three-time team MVP in track at Newton Senior High School in Newton, Iowa competing in the 400-meter hurdles and the 800 meters. She set the school record in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.1). She was part of the 2000 state champion 4 x 400 relay team. Her high school career academic and athletic honors are numerous, including the State All-Elite team, Wendy's High School Heisman Nominee, and the Who?s Who in both athletics and academics.
Personal: Amanda Marie Manatt was born Feb. 16, 1982 in Newton, Iowa to Brad and Mary Manatt. Manatt would like to pursue a career in acquisitions and mergers after college. She was also recruited by Wake Forest and Iowa State.
