2007 OUTLOOK: Amberly will be looking to go out on a big note as one of CU’s top jumpers. She has been practicing hard and looks to have a great season.  

2006: Casey scored at the Big 12 Indoor Championship in the long jump. She took eighth overall with a leap of 19-00.75. She took 12th in the triple jump (39-01.75). Casey’s best finishes in both events came at the Air Force Invite. She placed second in the long jump (19-04.75) and sixth in the triple jump (37-10.50). During the outdoor campaign, Casey earned a regional qualifying mark in the long jump with a leap of 19-08.25 at the Potts Invite. She also earned a first-place finish with the mark. Casey swept the horizontal jumps at the Potts Invite by taking first in the triple jump. She recorded a pr of 39-04.50. At the outdoor conference championship, she took 11th in the long jump and 10th in the triple jump. 

2005: Casey set personal records in the long jump (19-02.00) and the triple jump (40-07.75) at the Big 12 Indoors, which placed her in seventh for both events. Her triple jump at the Big 12 Indoors also landed her a school record, beating out the previous record of 39-05.00 (2004) held by Liza Negriff. During the outdoor season she participated in the long and triple jump. She had two first-place finishes at the Colorado Invitational (19-06.25) and the Potts Invitational (19-05.50) in the long jump and made the regional qualifying mark with a jump of 19-6.25 for second-place at the Tom Benich Invitational. In the triple jump, she set a personal record of 39-03.00 at the Big 12 Championships, earning a 13th place finish.

2004: During the indoor season Casey recorded the top four jumps on the team in the long jump. Her pr jump of 18-3 was good for first place at the Colorado Invitational. She also competed in the triple jump where she placed third (35-07.00) at the Colorado Invitational. She finished 16th at the Big 12 Championships with a then-personal-best triple jump mark of 36-8.25. During the outdoor season, Casey won in the Potts Invitational and 10th in the Big 12 Championships with a personal-best of 19-8.75 in the long jump. She also competed in the triple jump where she finished second in the Potts Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL: Casey was a two-sport athlete at Boulder High School, participating in track as well as gymnastics. Casey graduated from Boulder holding a pair of school records in the long jump (18-5) and triple jump (37-1), both set during her senior year. Casey lists finishing fourth place in the long jump at the Colorado State Championships as the highlight of her prep career.  She was a second-team all-Centennial performer in gymnastics her final three years and twice lettered in Academics.

ACADEMICS: Casey is an economics major at Colorado with a better than 3.0 grade point average. She has been on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll and owns a greater than 3.0 grade point average.

PERSONAL: Amberly Nicole Casey was born on July 8, 1985, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her mother is Vina Bailey.
