2005 Season Outlook: Harrison is expected to add depth to the women’s throws.

High School: As a thrower at Oak Park High School in Kansas City, Mo., Harrison was a district and conference qualifier. She also competed in basketball, cross country and volleyball. She lettered in music and served on the student council and leadership class. Harrison was also active in the weightlifting club with a combined 500-pound bench press, back squat and power clean.

Academics: In high school, she was on the National Honor Roll as she lettered twice in academics. She graduated in the top 10 percent of her class. She is a mathematics major at Colorado.

Personal: Bethany Ann Harrison was born in Smithville, Mo., to Kevin and Pam Harrison on June 12, 1986. She enjoys flying, track and military life. She received a NROTC scholarship, and she is interested in joining the Navy after college.
