HIGH SCHOOL: Baer was a member of the Colorado 2A State Track and Field Championship team in 2008. The Eagles were the runner-up team in 2007. He owns the school record in the 110-meter hurdles (14.49). It is also the state meet record. Baer was named the Weld County Male Track Athlete of the Year as a junior. He lettered in track and field, basketball and football.
ACADEMICS: Baer intends to major in business and is also interested in the ROTC and Air Force.
PERSONAL: Daniel Becker Baer was born on June 13, 1989, in Billings, Mont. He is the son of Henry and Bernadette Baer. He has three brothers, James, David and Moses, and one sister, Rebecca. Baer lists snowboarding as his hobbies.
