2010: Indoor: Overcash competed in one pentathlon for CU. She recorded 2,322 points to place 14th overall. She also competed in the 60-hurdles and high jump. Overcash set personal records in the 60 hurdles at the Colorado School of Mines Twilight Open (2/19) with a time of 10.96 and the high jump with a mark of 5-03 at the Air Force Invite (2/13).
Outdoor: Overcash competed twice in the high jump during the outdoor season. She recorded a personal record of 5-03 at the Tom Benich Classic (4/3) and placed sixth overall.
HIGH SCHOOL: Overcash is a two-time state champion in the high jump; winning in 2007 and 08. She was the runner up in 2009 and took 17th in the shot put that year. Overcash also owns a pair of school records in both events. She recorded her mark of 5-06 in 2008 at the state championship in the high jump. Overcash’s mark of 31-0 in the shot put came at regionals where she placed eighth. In 2006, she was a member of a pair of regional championships on the 4x200 and 4x400-meter relay teams. Overcash was named the team MVP as a senior and was the Oldham Country All-Around Female Athlete of the Year her junior season. As a sophomore, she was named to the KHSAA Super Sophomore Team as well as the OCAAFAOY.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Overcash intends to major in aerospace engineering and is also interested in literature and Navy ROTC. The Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll member recorded a 3.669 GPA in her first semester. She was an academic all-state selection and an AP Scholar in high school.
PERSONAL: Erin Roxie Overcash was born on November 29, 1990 in Louisville, Ky. She is the daughter of Wendell and Joanne Overcash of Goshen, Ky. and has one sister, Holly, who was a four-year letterwinner on the Centre College cross country team. She lists reading, skeet shooting, biking and kayaking as her hobbies. Overcash also volunteered during high school with Habitat for Humanity, and trail restoration of the Louisville Zoo.
