2011: Indoor: Johnston ran in four 800-meter runs during the indoor season. He ran a season-best time of 1:57.39 at the Husker Invite (2/5) and placed 11^th overall.

Outdoor: Johnson ran a personal best in the 800 at the Jack Christiansen Invite (4/23). Almost a week later at the Front Range Classic (5/1) he came close to bettering his PR by running 1:57.02.

2010: Indoor: Did not compete.

Outdoor: Johnston ran in a pair of 800-meter runs. His season debut was at the Tom Benich Invite (4/3) where he finished in 1:59.32. One week later at the CU Invite (4/10) Johnston clocked a time of 1:58.06.

2009: Indoor: Johnston only competed during the indoor season for the Buffs and ran the 800. He recorded his best time of the season at the Big 12 Championship with a mark of 1:55.19 and placed 11^th overall.

Outdoor: Did not compete.

HIGH SCHOOL: Johnston was a member of the track and field and ski teams for the Panthers. He was the individual state runner-up in the slalom in 2006. He won the state 3A championship in the 800-meter run on the track in 2006 and owns the school record in the event (1:57.71). As a senior he was named the Athlete of the Year and was named to the Wall of Fame.

PERSONAL: Evan T. Johnston was born on April 7, 1989. He is the son of Jeffrey and Bridget Johnston and has two sisters, Brittany and Sydney. Brittany plays volleyball at Bates College. He lists his hobbies as skiing, fly fishing, playing the guitar and bird calling.
