2025-26

XC: Givens continued his upward trajectory in 2025, notching three new personal bests across the 5K, 8K, and 10K distances. He opened the year with a commanding win at the Wyoming Invite, clocking 15:02.0 in the 5K. He later delivered a standout performance at the Gans Creek Classic, running a personal-best 8K time of 23:01.9 for 15th place. Givens capped off the season by finishing 88th at the NCAA Championships, clocking a 10K personal best of 29:31.5. Givens continuines to thrive under the tutelage of Head Coach Sean Carlson

· Placed 88th at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships (10k – 29:31.5 personal best)

· Finished 31st at the Nuttycombe Invitational (8k – 23:47.1)

· Took 15th at the Gans Creek Classic (8k – 23:01.9 personal best)

· Opened the season with a win at the Wyoming Invite (5k – 15:02.0 personal best)

2024-25
XC:

Placed 30th at the Nuttycombe Invitational (8k – 23:59.9).
Finished 114th at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals (8k – 24:01.2).
Set a personal best at the Big 12 Conference Championship, placing 27th (8k – 23:20.1).
Ran a personal best at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships, finishing 17th (10k – 29:41.1).

Indoor:

Opened the season with a 3rd-place finish in the mile at the Colorado Classic, breaking the 4-minute barrier (3:59.97).
Ran a personal best of 7:45.01 in the 3000m at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic, finishing 5th.
Competed at the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships as the lone Buff in the field.
- Ran 3:58.05 in the mile prelims, qualifying for the final.
- Broke the CU mile record in the final, running 3:54.84 to place 5th and earn NCAA All-American honors.

Capped off the indoor season as an NCAA All-American, setting a new CU record in the mile

XC: Ran in five different races for the Buffaloes...finished with a season-best time of 23:27.3 in the 8k event during the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships...

Outdoor: Competed in five meets for CU...personal record time of 3:40.43 in the 1500 meter race at the Payton Jordan Invitational...

XC: Redshirted
Indoor: Ran in four meets for the Buffs ... he finished top-five in all four races he competed in ... set a personal best of 3:55.99 in the mile which was a first place finish at the Ken Shannon Invitational
Outdoor: Ran in seven races over five meets ... finished first in the 800 at the Stanford Invitational while also recording a personal record of 1:49.60 ... in the same meet, he finished second in the 1,500 and set another personal record of 3:41.48 ... at the Pac-12 Championships he placed sixth in the 800 preliminary round before placing ninth in the 800 finals ... competed in the 1,500 in the NCAA West Preliminary Round where he finished 28th
