2010: Indoor: Aguilar competed in the 400-meter and 600-yard run in his first season with the Buffs. He ran his personal best in the 400 at the Air Force Invite (2/12), clocking a time of 51.22 to place 30th overall. Aguilar’s top time in the 600 was 1:21.11 at the Potts Invite (1/23).
Outdoor: During the outdoor campaign Aguilar concentrated on the 40-meter hurdles; running the event at five meets. He recorded his best time of the season at the Fum McGraw Open (5/8) by finishing in 54.21, earning him sixth overall. Aguilar raced in the 110 and 400 hurdles at the Jack Christiansen Invite (4/24) and recorded top-10 performances in each. He ran a time of 16.06 in the 110 hurdles (taking 10th) and was second in the 400 hurdles with a mark of 55.22.
HIGH SCHOOL: Aguilar won the 2008 Colorado 5A State Championship in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 38.25 seconds. In 2009, he placed fifth overall in the event. Aguilar was a member of the RJHS 4x800-meter relay team that set the school record of 7:59.44. He was a four-year letterwinner for the Raiders and was a two-time Aurora City Champion in the 300-meter hurdles in 2008 and ‘09. The RJHS team won the 2007 Continental League Championship. Aguilar-Wynn was also earned two letters as a member of the football team.
HIGH SCHOOL BESTS: 200-meters: 22.7; 110-meter hurdles: 15.2; 300-meter hurdles: 38.25; 4x800-relay: 7:59.44.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Aguilar is a civil engineering major. He was an academic all-state honorable mention selection. Aguilar is a member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. He was the Co-President of the Diversity Action Group and Multicultural Alliance in high school.
PERSONAL: Jordan Alexander Aguilar-Wynn was born on January 6, 1991 in Denver, Colo. He is the son of Charlene Aguilar and is the oldest of four boys, Jarett, Joshua and Jayce. His cousin Devin Aguilar is a member of the football team at Washington. Aguilar-Wynn lists his hobbies as sports, cooking and playing video games. He has also volunteered coaching little league football and basketball.
