2011: Indoor: Did not compete.
Outdoor: King raced twice for the Buffs. She recorded a personal best of 4:58.41 at the Potts Invite (3/19), placing eighth overall. King placed second at the CU Invite (4/9) in the 3k, crossing the finish in 10:58.13.
2010: Indoor: King ran in a pair of races during the indoor season. She debuted at the Potts Invite (1/23), running the mile in 5:39.30 for sixth place. One week later, King was 12th in the 800-meter run at the Don Barrett Duals (1/30). She clocked a time of 2:32.09.
Outdoor: King participated in three meets for CU during the outdoor campaign. She ran a pair of 1,500-meter runs, clocking a season-best time of 5:09.29 at the Jack Christiansen Invite (4/24). King ran a time of 2:28.03 in the 800 at the CU Invite (4/10).
CROSS COUNTRY: (2011) King raced twice for the Buffs. She finished 21st overall at the Rocky Mountain Shootout and followed that performance up with a 63rd-place finish at the Santa Clara Bronco Invite. (2010) King ran in a pair of races for the Buffs. She finished 35th overall at the Rocky Mountain Shootout and placed 94th in the open section of the NCAA Pre-National Invitational. (2009) Redshirt. Did not compete.
HIGH SCHOOL: King owns five SCHS records. She ran the fastest time in school history on the Liberty Bell 5K Cross Country Course (18:44). On the track, her records include the 800 (2:17), 1,600 (5:07), 4x400 and 4x800-meter relays. As a senior, King was named all-conference in cross country and was an honorable mention selection on the track. She was named the SCHS most valuable runner as a junior. King was the winner of the Raptor Award for Cross Country and Track and Field (the equivalent of the team MVP) her sophomore and freshman seasons. She was all-conference for the first time in her career as a freshman and did so in both sports. King was named the Raptor of the Year (the SCHS Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year). The Raptors won the conference title all four years on the track while she was there and the cross country team won her freshman, sophomore and senior seasons.
