2008: Waldron once again threw the shot during the indoor season and added the weight throw. His best throw in the shot was at the Potts Invite (the first meet of the season) where he recorded a 41-11.25 mark and placed sixth. Waldron threw the weight for the first time at the Potts Invite with a throw of 31-10.25 and placed ninth. At the next meet just two weeks later, (Air Force Invite) he threw it almost 10 feet farther at 41-10.00 to place 36th overall. During outdoors, Waldron once again focused on the javelin, but added the hammer. His pr in the hammer was 154-08, tossed at the CSU Ram Open. He took 12th overall. But the javelin was his event and he recorded three third-place finishes and a pair of fourth-place finishes. Waldron’s best throw heading into Big 12s was 178-03, but he demolished that after he recorded a throw of 190-05 on the final day of competition. That throw ranks 14th on the all-time chart at CU. The mark also put him at fifth on the all-time performers list.
2007: Waldron, a javelin thrower, tossed the shot put once during the indoor season. He threw 36-11.50 at the Potts Invite and placed eighth overall. During the outdoor season, he focused solely on the javelin. Waldron earned a pair of first-place finishes. He was the top thrower at the Rob Upton meet where he recorded a toss of 164-06. Waldron threw a huge pr of more than 12 feet when he tossed the javelin 179-01 at the Air Force Twilight Meet. He previous pr was 166-10 which was at the Tom Benich Invite. He placed second overall. Waldron was 16th at the conference meet (164-02).
2006: Waldron threw the javelin once during the outdoor season at the Ris Western/Air Force Twilight. He placed ninth overall (143-06).
HIGH SCHOOL: Waldron participated in track and field and football earning a total of seven letters. He finished first in the NIISS and was the state section champion as a senior. Waldron’s personal best is 178-3 in the javelin. On the gridiron, he led his team in tackles for two years and was the team captain his senior year. As a linebacker, he was named to the all-conference first team.

PERSONAL: Kevin Patrick Waldron was born on June 19, 1987. His parents are Jack and Barbara Waldron of Golden,
