High School: As a four-year letterwinner in the long jump and triple jump at Elizabeth High School in Elizabeth, Colo., Minnard graduated with the school’s all-time triple jump record mark of 37-10 ? . As a senior, she took third in the state championships in the triple jump and 8th in the long jump, earning first team all-conference honors in the triple jump, long jump and 100m, and second team all-conference recognition in the 200m. As a junior, she claimed 6th place in the state championships in the triple jump, earning all-conference honors in the long jump, triple jump, high jump and 4x200 relays. Her sophomore year, Minnard became the state champion in the triple jump with an Elizabeth High School record mark of 37-101/2, as well as earning all-conference recognition in long jump, triple jump and high jump.

Personal: Lauren Marie Minnard was born April 10, 1985 in Aurora, Colorado. She is the daughter of Dave and Jeri Minnard. Her hobbies include softball, shopping, sports and exercising. Minnard chose Colorado over Arizona, Brown, Colorado State and Mississippi. She is an intended open-option major at Colorado.
