HIGH SCHOOL: Walker earned four letters as a member of the Southlake Carroll Senior High School track and field team. During his senior season, Walker was the district champion in the 400-meter dash and the shot put, becoming the first person at his school to win those two events the same year. He was also recruited by Abilene Christian, Colorado State, Miami (Ohio) and William Penn.
HIGH SCHOOL BESTS: 400-meters: 49.6; 100-meters: 10.9; shot put: 51-5.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Walker is an open major. He has a GPA greater than 3.00.
PERSONAL: Matthew Burke Walker was born on April 27, 1996 in Houston, Texas. He is the son of Michael and Paula Walker and has two siblings, Riley and Brett. He enjoys hanging out with friends, playing sports and making videos.
