2010: Indoor: Potter recorded the fifth best throw in 2010 by a Buff when she launched the shot put 41-10.75 at the Colorado School of Mines Twilight meet (2/19), placing second overall. In the weight throw, Potter recorded a mark of 41-06 at the Air Force Invite (2/12) for her season best.

Outdoor: Potter recorded a pair of personal bests in the shot put and hammer throw. She launched the hammer 133-10 at the Tom Benich Classic (4/3). Potter saved the best for last in the shot put as she recorded a mark of 40-09.50 at the Fum McGraw Open (5/8), placing fourth.

HIGH SCHOOL: Potter is the NHS shot put record holder (39-05), which she set on April 6, 2009 at the Mt. Range Meet in North Stadium, Colo. Her personal record in the discus of 113-00 was set at regionals on May 15, 2008. As a senior, Potter was the Front Range League shot put champion. She was named the Navy Athlete of the Year. Potter was named the female track MVP her junior and senior years and was the throws MVP her sophomore through senior years.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Potter intends to major in mathematics and education and is also interested in photography.

PERSONAL: Molly Kay Potter was born on December 26, 1990 in Denver, Colorado. She is the daughter of Rhonda Potter of Thornton, Colo. Her grandfather, Rocky Selanders, played football at Western State and for the San Diego Chargers and her uncle, Ramsey Selanders, also played football at WSC. Potter’s hobbies include photography, reading and anything crafty.
