Javelin: 70-04 (2009)

2010: Lechman competed at a pair of meets for CU. She launched a season-best throw of 67-08 at the CU Invite, placing 20^th overall.

2009: Lechman stuck with the javelin during her junior season. She started the season by recording a personal best of 70-04 at the Potts Invite where she took fifth overall. Her second-best throw of the season was 68-08 at the CSU Ram Invite.

2008: Lechman switched to the javelin in 2008 and so she only competed during the outdoor season. Lechman’s personal record of 66-10 was thrown at the Front Range Classic in Laramie, Wyo. She also placed sixth overall. Her best finish of the season was the Potts Invite when she took fifth.

2007: Lechman competed in the 60 and 200-meter dashes during the 2007 indoor season. She set a personal record in the 60 with a time of 8.93, which earned her a ninth-place finish at the Potts Indoor Invite. In the 200, Lechman ran to a seventh-place finish at the Potts Invite with a time of 30.85, but set a pr at the Air Force Invite with a time of 29.72.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lechman did not participate in track in high school, but earned three letters as a competitive cheerleader. ACADEMICS: Lechman is majoring in psychology at Colorado. She was a member of the honor roll and Dean’s list in high school.

PERSONAL: Mychelle Marcy Lechman was born on Feb. 12, 1988 to Brian and Karen Lechman of Broomfield, Colo. Karen is the administrative assistant in the CU Cross Country and Track & Field office. Brian played basketball and track and field at Western State. Lechman has one younger sister, Kim. She lists reading, working out, singing and hanging out with her friends as her hobbies.
