2010: Indoor: Rice earned an eighth-place finish in the mile at the Potts Invite (1/23). He ran a time of 4:37.64.
Outdoor: Rice started the season with a PR of 4:17.81 in the 1,500 at the Tom Benich Classic (4/3). One week later at the CU Invite (4/10), he placed 17th overall after clocking a time of 8:58.53. Rice earned a fourth-place finish in the 5k at the Jack Christiansen Invite (4/24). He recorded a PR of 15:46.61.
CROSS COUNTRY: (2010) Rice ran in a pair of meets for the Buffs. He placed 69th at the Rocky Mountain Shootout and then led CU at the Fort Hays State Open with a 17th-place finish.
HIGH SCHOOL: Rice owns a trio of school records, two in track and one in cross country. On the track he has the 1,600 and 3,200-meter run records, while in cross country Rice has the 5k course record. All three marks were set during his senior year. Rice raced to a time of 17:22 during the cross country season (2007) and then recorded times of 4:40 (1,600) and 9:50 (3,200) in 2008. Rice won the regional championship in the 3,200 in 2008 and finished third overall at the state championship.

ACADEMICS: Rice is majoring in film and owns a GPA greater than 3.00. He is a member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
PERSONAL: Nathaniel Wesley Rice was born on June 29, 1989, in Boulder, Colo. He is the son of Robert and Mary Rice. Rice is the second oldest of seven children. His hobbies include writing songs and being creative.
