2015: Indoor: Redshirt. Did not compete.
Outdoor: Smyrnios raced four times for the Buffs in the spring, twice in the 800 and twice in the 1,500, clocking personal bests in both. He ran 3:59.70 in the 1,500 at the Bryan Clay Invite (4/17) and at the Jack Christiansen Invite (4/25), he ran the 800 in 1:54.72.

CROSS COUNTRY: (2014) Smyrnios raced to a 40^th place finish at the Colorado State Invite in his only race of the season. (2013) Smyrnios ran in one race for the Buffs as a freshman, placing 45^th overall at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL: Smyrnios raced to a time of 1:55.51 in the 800-meter run at the 2013 Colorado State Track and Field Championships, placing fifth overall. He was also the anchor of the 4x800 that placed third in 7:59. During Smyrnios’ junior year, he won the 800 and was a part of the 4x400 and 4x800 relays which won the Jefferson Country League Championships. His 4x400 relay team set the school record of 3:20.29 in 2012 and later that summer he ran a personal best of 50.76 at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships. Smyrios earned three letters as a member of the track team and three on the cross country team. Prior to his junior year, Smyrios also played soccer.

HIGH SCHOOL BESTS: 400-meters: 50.76; 800-meters: 1:55; 1,600-meters: 4:33.35.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Smyrnios is majoring in integrative physiology and Spanish. He has a GPA greater than 3.60.

PERSONAL: Panos Ernesto Smyrnios was born on December 12, 1994 in Dallas, Texas. He is the son of Angelo and Lisette Smyrnios of Littleton, Colo. He also has one sister, Angelica. Smyrnios enjoys fishing, backpacking, biking and skiing.
