2010: Indoor: Garbowski completed on pentathlon for the Buffs. She recorded 2,478 points to place 13th at the Potts Indoor Invite (1/22). Garbowski recorded the third best long jump for the Buffs with a leap of 17-00 at the Colorado School of Mines Open (2/18), finishing third overall.
Outdoor: Garbowski participated in one heptathlon, recording 3,254 points at the Glenn Morris Multi-Events meet (4/22-23). Her best performance in the meet was the long jump. She placed seventh with a jump of 15-10.25.
HIGH SCHOOL: Garbowski competed in the 400-meter dash and the long jump at GWHS for four seasons. As a senior, she was the captain of the track team. The Patriots won the state championship in 2006.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Garbowski intends to major in sociology.
PERSONAL: Renata Garbowski was born on January 30, 1991 in Denver. She is the daughter of Thomas and Miroslawa Garbowski and has two older siblings, Marta and Magda. She is Polish and is bilingual. Garbowski lists her hobbies as skiing, hiking and painting.
