HIGH SCHOOL: Robinson was a seven-time all-state honoree, four times in cross country and three times in track. In 2017, she earned All-America honors with a 30th place finish at Foot Locker Nationals, which came on the heels of a 10th place finish at Foot Locker Midwest Regionals. Robinson’s best finish at the state cross country championships was also in 2017 when she crossed the finish third. As a senior, she won four meets, including the Michigan High School Athletic Associations LP Region 07-1 Championship. On the track, she owns a pair of school records in the 3,200-meter run (10:27.22) and the 4x800-meter relay (9:05). Robinson was named a New Balance Nationals All-American in 2016 as part of the 4x800-meter relay team that set the school record and finished sixth. Robinson was named the Detroit Free Press Female Cross Country Runner of the Year in 2018. She was the Waterford Mott’s Most Outstanding Female Athlete Award three times (2017, ’18 and ’19), and was the Waterford Scholar and Scholar-Athletes four times (2016, ’17, ’18 and ’19).Other schools that recruited Robinson include Michigan, Indiana and UCLA.
 
HIGH SCHOOL BESTS: 800-meter: 2:20.97; 1,600-meters: 4:54.03; 3,200-meters: 10:27.22.
 
IN THE CLASSROOM: Robinson intends to major in cellular, molecular and developmental biology.
 
PERSONAL: Rylee Raye Robinson was born on March 20, 2001, in West Bloomfield, Mich. She is the daughter of Ryan and Michelle Robinson. She has dual citizenship with the U.S. and Canada (her mother is Canadian). Michelle was a professional figure skater, while Ryan ran cross country and track and field at Western State before transferring to Michigan.
