2008 OUTLOOK: Shane is a newcomer the sprint corps. He has been working hard this past fall adjusting to the college workload and looks to contribute in the sprints and relays this season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Micheel earned two letters while on the track team for the Chargers. He was also a member of the football and soccer teams.

ACADEMICS: Micheel intends to major in business but is also interested in marketing and music.

PERSONAL: Shane Micheel was born on Jan. 4, 1989 in Santa Barbara, Calif. His parents are Bruce and Kathleen Micheel. He has one older sister, Whitney, and a younger brother, Cory. Micheel has a blackbelt in Tae Kwan Do which he earned at just eight-years-old. He enjoys music, singing and playing the guitar.
