Lauren Cawley joined the CU Athletic Department as a Communications Associate in February 2026, returning to the department after serving as a student intern from 2023–24.
Cawley serves as the primary media contact for CU’s cross country and track & field programs, overseeing all media relations efforts, including strategic communications, press materials, statistical reporting, and social media strategy.
Prior to her current role, Cawley was a graduate assistant at Tulane University, where she managed media relations for women’s basketball and cross country/track & field.
A former NCAA Division I student-athlete at Bryant University, she brings extensive knowledge of the sport and has worked with multiple national track & field media outlets, covering several NCAA Championships on site.
Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Cawley is passionate about elevating student-athlete stories and advancing strategic storytelling in collegiate athletics.
