2011: Indoor: Davis ran the 200 in three meets. She clocked a personal record time of 26.61 at the Don Barrett Duals (1/29) and placed 10th overall.
Outdoor: Davis ran in three more 200s during the outdoor season. Her best finish of the season was at the Jack Christiansen Invite (4/23), where she placed 19th with a time of 27.16.
2010: Indoor: Davis competed in the 60, 200 and 400-meter dashes. She was second in the 60 (8.10) and fourth in the 200 (27.08) at the Potts Invite (1/23). She also recorded a season-best in the 400 at the ISU Classic with a time of 60.72.
Outdoor: Davis ran in a pair of 200-meter races in the outdoor campaign. Her best time of the season was 27.00 at the CU Invite (4/11).
HIGH SCHOOL: Davis earned three letters as a member of the Skyline High School track team. She was a part of the Texas 5A State Champion 4x400-meter relay team in 2008 and the 4x200 relay team in 2009. Davis was also recruited by TCU, North Texas and Sam Houston State.
PERSONAL: Sydney Lynn Davis was born in Dallas, Texas. She is the daughter of Carver, who played football at Northeastern State, and Andrea Davis. She has one brother, Carver, and one sister, Lauren. Davis enjoys horseback riding and hanging out with her friends. One summer she volunteered with a summer church camp called Project Turnaround. Davis also helped out at a horse therapy camp for mentally challenged people.
