2015: Indoor: Howe competed in one pentathlon as a freshman, placing 12th overall at the CSM Alumni Open with 2,948 points. At the meet, she recorded season bests in all five events. She ran 10.13 in the 60-meter hurdles, jumped 5-0.25 in the high jump, threw the shot put 25-6.75, jumped 16-9.75 in the long jump and ran 2:35.42 in the 800. 
Outdoor: Howe competed in many different events as a freshman. Her track season bests were 17.04 in the 100-meter hurdles, 28.33 in the 200 and 14.03 in the 100. She jumped 16-8.50 in the long jump and threw the shot put 25-00 and the javelin 78-11.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Howe qualified for the Colorado state championships all four years. She raced the 100 at state her freshman, sophomore and junior years. Her best finish came in 2011, finishing eighth in 12.90. Howe clocked in at 27.11 in the 200 as a sophomore, taking 12th. That same year, she also placed eighth in the high jump (5-1). Howe participated at state in the long jump all four years. She placed second as a senior (17-0.50). Howe is the Rams long jump record holder at 17-11. She was also a member of the volleyball team and National Honors Society.  Howe was recruited by Chadron State before deciding on CU.   

HIGH SCHOOL BESTS: 100-meters: 12.9; 200-meters: 26.7; Long jump: 17-11; High jump: 5-1.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Howe is a business – open option major.

PERSONAL: Taila Howe was born on September 25, 1995 in Philadelphia, Pa. She is the daughter of Andy Wasilawki and Alya Howe. She has one brother, Oskar. Howe enjoys snowboarding, backpacking, running, photography and traveling. She grew up traveling around Europe and can speak French.
