Triple jump: 39-1.25/11.92 (2015)
2015: Indoor: Daniel competed in the triple jump at three meets for CU. She debuted with a mark of 38-0 at the CSM Alumni Open (12/12/14), which put her fourth on CU’s all-time performers list. Daniel also jumped 37-8.50 at the Air Force Open (1/9) and 37-6 at the Potts Invite (1/16).
Outdoor: Daniel competed in the triple jump seven times during the spring. She earned a personal best 39-1.25 at the Jack Christiansen Invite (4/25), which put her fourth on CU’s all-time performers list. At the Pac-12 Championships, Daniel placed 19th with a 37-2.25 jump.
AT WILLAMETTE: Daniel set the Willamette triple jump record on March 14, 2014, jumping 38-6.25. She also ranks second in the heptathlon with 4,411 points. Daniel was named the Bearcats Female Athlete of the Year as a senior and earned USTFCCCA Academic All-American honors. She was a three-time Northwest Conference Scholar Athlete and a two-time NWC triple jump champion (2013, ’14).
IN THE CLASSROOM: Daniel is getting her master’s in environmental engineering and recorded a 3.953 GPA while on the CU track and field team. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Willamette in physics.
PERSONAL: Rebekah Daniel was born on December 30, 1991. She is the daughter of James and Brenda Daniel of Silverdale, Wash., and has one sister, Bethany. She enjoys singing, playing piano and bird watching. While earning her bachelor’s degree at Willamette, she studied in Morocco for a semester and climbed the highest mountain in North Africa (Toubkal). Daniel was also a competitive gymnast from 5-12 years old.
