2018: Indoor: During his 2018 indoor season, McClurkin, Jr. competed on both the track and the field. In the 200-meter dash, McClurkin Jr. earned second place with a time of 21.80 at the Husky Classic in February. In the high jump, he finished in third place at the Colorado Invitational in February, with a height of 6-5.00/1.96.
Outdoor: McClurkin Jr. had a successful outdoor season, earning four first place finishes overall. In the 200 meters, he won the Kit Mayer Invite with a time of 20.96 and the Wyoming 7220 Invite with a  time of 21.26. McClurkin Jr. ran the 400 meters at the Colorado Invitational in April, and finished first with a time of 47.76. He also earned first place in the high jump at the Air Force Twilight meet, with a height of 6-06.75/2.00.
 
2017: Indoor: McClurkin Jr. had an impressive sophomore indoor season, setting the school 300-meter record (33.80) at the Air Force Holiday Open. He was also among CU’s top sprinters during the season, scoring for the Buffs at the MPSF Championships in the 200. McClurkin Jr. placed eighth overall with a season-best time of 21.49. He just missed scoring for the Buffs in the 400 with a 10th place finish, again with a season best (47.71). McClurkin Jr., one of CU’s best high jumpers, also recorded a season best in the event after clearing 6-7.75 at the Joe Davies Open.
Outdoor: During his outdoor season, McClurkin Jr. competed in the 200 and 400-meters, as well as the high jump. Of his nine entries during the season, he came away with five first place finishes, which included three in the 200. McClurkin Jr. clocked personal bests in the 200 and 400. He finished first in the 400 at the Cardinal Classic, finishing in 46.30, and was second in the 200 at the CU Invite (20.89).
 
2016: Indoor: McClurkin Jr. became one of CU’s best sprinters as a freshman. He became the third fastest performer in the 400-meter dash after racing 47.78 at the Don Kirby Invite (2/13), where he also ran 21.51 in the 200 to become the eighth fastest CU all-timer performer. McClurkin Jr. ran both at the MSPF Championships where he placed sixth in the 200 (21.74) and was 10th in the 400 (47.96). He was also a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that placed ninth with the 10th fastest time in school history (3:14.92). McClurkin Jr. also competed in the high jump. He tied for 10th on the all-time performers list after clearing 6-9.75 at the Don Kirby Invite.
Outdoor: McClurkin Jr. continued to impress during his freshman campaign, leading the Buffs in the 200, 400 and high jump. During the regular season, he won the 200 at the Tom Benich in 21.31, while placing second in the 400 with a season best of 47.49. He won a pair of high jump competitions, first the CU Invite (6-7) and then the CSM Invite with a season best (6-8.75). At the Pac-12 Championships, he scored for the Buffs in the 400, finishing eighth in 48.57 after placing seventh in the prelims (47.57). McClurkin also competed individually in the 200 and high jump at Pac-12s, finishing 11th in the 200 (21.72) and 13th in the high jump (6-6). He also helped both the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relays place ninth at Pac-12s. At the USA Jr. Championships, McClurkin Jr. placed sixth in the 200 (21.35) after recording a fourth place finish and a PR (21.12) in the prelims. 
 
HIGH SCHOOL: McClurkin earned four letters for the Trojans, competing in the springs and jumps. The Trojans were the 2014 and ’15 Colorado 5A Track and Field State Champions. In 2015, he placed second at the state championship in the 400, finishing in 48.02 after winning the prelims in 48.22. McClurkin also placed fourth at state in the high jump, clearing 6-6. He recorded a personal best 47.97 in the 400 at the Colorado Springs Metro Championships. Earlier in the season, McClurkin jumped 6-8 at the Pomona Invitational.
