HIGH SCHOOL: Nilan was a seven-time all-league selection on the track and in cross country his sophomore through senior seasons at RAHS. He owns the school record in the 800-meter run (1:56.80). Nilan’s pr in the 1,600 came in 2007 at the state championship. His high school won the division championship in 2007 with just five athletes.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Nilan is majoring in environmental engineering.
PERSONAL: Patrick Nilan was born on January 14, 1990 in Sacramento, Calif. to Stephen Nilan and Martha Alcott. He has one older sister, Katherine. Nilan played in a punk rock band that played at the Whisky-A-Go-Go in Los Angeles.
