2008 OUTLOOK: Sara is one of the vets of the sprint corps. She has had a solid off-season and looks to improve her performance from last season.

2007: Price competed in three of the sprinting events and the hurdles during the indoor season, setting personal records in all four events. In the 600-yard event she set her pr of 1:30.22 at the Iowa State Classic, where she placed 22^nd, and her highest finish came at the Potts Indoor Invite where she took third. In the 60-meter hurdles, Price finished seventh at the Potts Invite with a pr time of 10.07. She also competed in the 200 and 400 where she set pr’s of 27.55 and 62.35 respectively. During the outdoor season Price only competed in the Potts Invite, where she placed third in the 400 with a pr time of 65.00.

HIGH SCHOOL: Price was a member of the 2006 Colorado Class 5A State Championship team. She is a three-time individual champ as she was a part of the 2005 and ’06 4x400-meter relay teams and the 2005 distance medley relay team. Price owns the Rocky Mountain High School 300-meter hurdles record of 44.1, which was set in May 2006, at regionals. Price earned four letters at RMHS and was named all-conference all four years. She was named the 2006 Most Outstanding Athlete at RMHS and as a junior was named the Outstanding Junior Female Athlete. Price was also recruited by Lehigh, Cornell, Colorado State and Northern Colorado.

ACADEMICS: Price intends to major in marketing at CU and is also interested in advertising. She was a four-year member of her high school’s honor roll and was named academic all-state as a junior and senior. Price earned a spot on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll and the Dean’s List after she recorded a 3.931 in her first semester at CU.

PERSONAL: Sara Price was born on April 15, 1988 in Rochester, N.Y. She is the daughter of Robert Price and Mary Kennedy. She has one older brother, Eric, who also attends CU. Price lists golf, snowboarding, reading and traveling as her hobbies.
