- 2007-08 team's Most Improved Student-Athlete Award
2007-08 (Senior): Senger finished her career with a strong season, posting a 77.37 stroke average in 35 rounds over 12 tournaments. She carded 26 rounds in the 70s (second on the team) and her score counted towards the team's total in 34 of her 35 rounds as she was a steady force all season. Senger shot a season-low 71 in the third round of the Heather Farr Memorial, lifting her to an eighth-place finish (76-73-71--220). She followed that performance up with another strong one at the Jeannine McHaney/Audrey Morehead Invitational, placing 14th with a 79-77-75--231 score. Senger wrapped up her career with a 27th-place finish at the Big 12 Championships (87-82-77--246).
2006-07 (Junior): Senger wrapped up the 2006-07 season playing 29 rounds and compiled a scoring average of 76.79. She kicked off her junior campaign in fine fashion as she led the way for the Buffaloes by taking second in the Ptarmigan Ram Classic, shooting a two-under par 214 for the tournament and chipping in for birdie on her last hole to take second place. Senger posted a career best 70 in the second round to follow up a 71 in the opening loop and finished with a one-over 73 to give her the best three round tournament score in school history. Her 214 at CSU was the best 54-hole score ever for a Buff and her 70 second round score was the third lowest best individual round score by strokes and to par for CU all season. Senger saw her second top-10 finish come when she placed 10th at the BYU Dixie Classic, shooting 75-75-75-225. In her final outing of the season at the Big 12 Championship, Senger shot a one-over par 73 in the third round, improving eight shots from the previous day, and finished in a tie for 20th with a total of 80-81-73-234 as CU’s top finisher in the individual standings.
2005-06 (Sophomore): The changes Senger made to her swing in her first two seasons in Boulder started to pay solid dividends in her third year at Colorado. Senger played 26 rounds, with a scoring average of 80.08 on the season, which improved to 79.65 for the first sub-80 average of her collegiate career. She posted her top finish at the best possible time, taking 40th at the Big 12 Tournament, helping CU to a third place finish. She was CU's top finisher at the Kent Youel Invitational, where she opened with a 74 and finished 60th overall. That 74 gave her a new career low round.
2004-05 (Redshirt Freshman): Following a redshirt season, Senger played in all but one fall tournament, seven total. In 19 rounds she held an 82.63 strokes per average, playing as a scoring team member in all but two tournaments. With her fall (80.2) play proving to be the stronger of the two semesters, she opened with a 54-hole best 79-79-77-235 to finish 50th at the annual season opening Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic. She closed the fall nearly as strong, with an 80-75-81-239 at the Bronco Fall Invite in Kuna, Idaho. Senger opened her spring with a career low round 77 at the Miccosukee Championship in Miami.
2003-04 (Freshman): Senger redshirted her true freshman season.
High School: Senger was a four-time first-team all-conference, three-time all-state and two-time All-Colorado team member. As a senior she won the Cherry Creek Invitational (76) and 5A Northern Regional (76) before a fourth-place state tournament finish. In the spring of 2002 Senger was the Class 5A state girls runner-up carding a 75-78 at Wellshire and earned all-state honors after finishing seventh as a sophomore where she was an all-state honorable mention finisher. As a sophomore and junior she was a member of the CWGA Colorado All-Star Team. Monarch has won its league championship in each of the last three years (four straight) and finished third in states in ’02 while Senger has won or taken second in individual competition in that time. Senger was a point guard on Monarch’s basketball team as a freshman and was a middle hitter for the Coyotes’ volleyball team her sophomore and junior seasons.
In The Classroom: Senger was a 2002 and 2003 all-state all-academic performer and is a communication major at Colorado.
Personal: Lindsay Marie Senger was born June 8, 1985 in Denver. She is the daughter of Rick and the late Linda Senger of Louisville and the younger sister of Scott, a former letterwinner for the Colorado men’s basketball team. At Monarch she was involved in the school’s Links Program and was a member of the Senior Senate. She is involved with CU’s Food Drive, Read With the Buffs and Buffalo Hugs, CU’s Children’s Hospital visitation program.
