1996-97 – Competed in two tournaments during the fall of 1996 with a season-best round of 87 in the first round of the BYU Invitational.
1995-96 – Had a season stroke average of 85.95 with a career-best 80 in the third round of the Nebraska Chip-N Club Invitational in September. Seventeen of her 19 rounds counted towards the team score during the season.
1994-95 – Played a team-high 20 rounds for the inaugural Buffs, with her scores counting toward the team total in 17 of 20 (.850) tournament rounds.
High School – She lettered two times in golf at Grand Junction for coach Penny Pulliam, and was 15th in the state championship meet at Indian Tree Golf Club in Arvada. She also lettered four times in tennis, playing No. 1 singles, and was the state champion her senior year (she had an overall career record of 57-7). She also lettered twice in volleyball.
Other – The highlight of Ford’s 1995 summer came in the prestigious BLT championship, where she placed fifth with a three-day total of 232 (78-78-76). She also fired her career-low round of 70 one day before returning to CU for the 1995-96 season. She played in amateur competition for the first time outside of high school this past summer.
Personal – Born June 1, 1976, in Grand Junction. She is interested in physics or biology as her major at CU. Hobbies include reading and playing the guitar. A sister, Kelsey, played tennis at Colorado State, where her uncle (Collier Kear) played both football and baseball. She was student body president her senior year at Grand Junction. She earned several academic honors in high school, most notably the Presidential Academic Award as a senior and first-team Academic All-State honors as a junior and senior.
