  • Title:
    Assistant Coach
LindaSue Chenoweth is in her ninth year as an assistant coach in 2006-07 for the University of Colorado women’s golf team, building upon a successful Colorado career that began on the team roster and is now in the coaching ranks.

In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Chenoweth is the executive director of the Colorado Opens, having been named to the position in 2004.

Chenoweth spent four years on the Colorado women’s golf team from 1994-97, first earning, then maintaining, over the course of her career a reputation as one of the squad’s most consistently reliable performers.  She played 83 career rounds, tied for the most ever heading into the 1998-99 season, with her scores counting toward the team total in 63 (.759) of those rounds.

While Chenoweth was a standout on the links, she was an absolute all-star in the classroom, earning academic all-conference honors following each of her four years as a Buffalo.  She graduated from CU in May of 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.

Born December 14, 1974, in Northglenn, Colo., Chenoweth attended Skyline High School in Longmont, Colo., where she earned several awards, including two-time honors on the CHSAA academic all-state team.  A member of the National Honor Society, she earned both English and geography student-of-the-year honors in 1991.

The former LindaSue Linton married Sean Chenoweth on July 4, 2003.
